Young Children’s Activity Sheets
For use during the 2011 National Church Life Survey.
Your church is taking part in the 2011 National Church Life Survey. This season of listening will give you a chance to hear from a wide range of people connected to your church: adult church attenders, leaders, youth and people who take part in your church’s ministry activities.
- For Adult Attenders: The adult Attender Survey is for those aged 15 years and over
- For Children aged 8 to 14 years: We hope that if your church has children in this age range, that you took advantage of the new optional survey adapted for 8 to 14 year old attenders.
- For Children under 8 years. While younger children are not being asked to complete a survey, we hope they feel included with these Activity Sheets.
These Activity Sheets are for children aged less than 8 years.
The first two colouring sheets are targeted at children aged five years and under. The second two are for children aged 6 to 7 years. Of course, you may use them as you see fit.
How do Younger Children See Their ‘Church Family’?
How do the younger attenders view your church? Why don’t you invite them to draw a picture of ‘My Church Family’? Let the pictures tell the story. A blank page has been left at the end of the Activity Sheets for this purpose.
If these pictures are returned to NCLS Research, along with your completed survey forms, then we will aim to scan these images and put them on the NCLS website. We also plan to look into the possibility of linking them to your church’s online results. We will need your NCLS Church Code written on the page to do this.
